albert elbaz is just human as we all are

it seems like after reading every interview with albert elbaz, i gain some extra obsession and admiration for the designer (my friends would go "what, like u can love him more than you already do?!") :P.

the reason elbaz is one of my most favourit-est designer ever (sorry tomas maier and nicholas ghesquiere, lol) is his love and respect for women, of all ages and body shapes. he's also so down to earth, honest, kind, soo insanely human (unlike galliano, lol!).

anyhow, i just finished reading stephanie seymour (who i also ADORE)'s interview with albert elbaz on interview magazine, and i'm telling you, it touched my heart. all these little details like how he has a boyfriend (i didnt even know he was gay! :O), his clumsiness when it comes to techno stuff or how he'd rather choose fruit salad over pancakes because he doesnt want to be overweight (awww!!!) make him sound soo approachable :).

below are my favourite quotes from the interview:

people who know me know my obsession with tom ford. tom ford fragrance, sun glasses, menswear, the deisgner himself, his taste in life etc. i was just surfing the net recently and looks like his website's been given a facial, cuz it looks fantabulous! you can even view his collection online! omg omg omg i cummed like 20 times i'm telling u. below are images from his spring 2009 colletion:














the popping colour suits, pants, jackets! OMG! the shoes, the hair, the sunglasses, the styling! AHHHHH!! i'm telling you i need to find russian royalty to marry me so i can buy the whole tom ford store!! :( for now, i guess gap or zara will do!! not that i have any money for gap either :'(.

IT girl

It seems like there are a zillion IT girls whose images appear on gossip magazines / fashion blogs everyday. The thing about all those aggy deyn, alexa chung, etc etc that fascinate me is while they received their IT status for keeping their originality, they're all very similar! So i've decided to make a list on how to become a fashion IT girl:

1. Make sure you're pretty and skinny, preferrably with no boobs and killer legs.


2. Make sure you become a well known designer's muse:


3. Try your hardest to appear on a fashion magazine. If you cant get onto vogue or bazaar, elle or marie claire would do.


4. Make sure you become a citizen of britain or france if you're not already one. Hollywood IT girls are sooo 2006.

5. Make sure you're photographed wearing 80s clothes

6. Doesn't matter if your clothes are old or new, when asked, always say you got them from a vintage store.

7. when asked for one word to describe your style, only choose between these 2 words: electic or eccentric.

8. one of your fashion icons should include bridgitte bardot, or grace kelly.

9. your favourite designers should include margiela or mcqueen.

So what do you think, are It girls original? i say original my ass.
